FASHION DESIGN FACULTY


Guillermo “Gerry” M.  Katigbak

A graduate of Bachelor of Fine Arts, major in Advertising, from the University of Santo Tomas (UST), Mr. Gerry is one of the highly successful fashion entrepreneurs in the roll of faculty at  LaSalle College International – Manila. He is a member of Fashion Design Council of the Philippines.
 The requirements of his ever-growing shop notwithstanding, Mr. Gerry still finds time to teach at LCI-Manila and direct all its fashion shows and events.

Edgardo “Edgar” P. Mendoza

Mr. Edgar’s education is a mixture of both spiritual and material. He had the spiritual from the Intensive in the Practice of UFMCC Ministry in the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community in Los Angeles, California, the Asian Theological Seminary in Quezon City, and the Australian Samaritan Education in Sydney, Australia.  He had the material from the University of the Philippines, where he had four years in B.S. Architecture, and Philippine School of Interior Design in Makati where he obtained his Diploma in Interior Design.
 Mr. Edgar is the Spiritual Counselor of UFMCC Manila and a Pastor of the Metropolitan Community Church in Manila. He also teaches part-time at the College of St. Benilde. Prior to these, he was an Architect/Interior Designer at L.M. Mendoza Realty in Makati.

Lydia Basa-Pajaron

Ms. Lydia obtained her Bachelor of Science in Industrial Education (BSIE), major in Garments Technology, from the Marikina Institute of Science and Technology. Immediately after graduation, she went on a 3-year stint at EZ Dehar Garments in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia where she worked as pattern maker, master cutter, sample maker; eventually rising up to sewing supervisor.
 She is busy as a fashion entrepreneur.  She uses her other hours sharing her expertise with the students of LaSalle College International-Manila  as a faculty member.

Roman “Dax” Bayani

Graduated  Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design and Merchndising, De la Salle – College of St. Benilde. Had been a Chief Fashion Designer/Manufacturing Manager of RB Manufacturing. An active member of the Young Fashion Designers’ Guild of the Philippines. Joined many fashion shows in the Philippines.

Ayna Riza N. Tan

Graduated Bachelor of Fine Arts Major in Advertising, Minor in Painting at the College of the Holy Spirit in Manila, Ayna pursued her creative skills by becoming a founding member of KLUB ESTETIKA, a group of painters who work for charity. After her training in the Creative and Arts Department of Ace/Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising, a top advertising agency in the country, she then started sharing her creative talent with students of College of St Benilde, teaching from Pattern Drafting to Apparel Design. While working fulltime as an International Flight Attendant in Philippine Airlines, Ayna finds time to teach at LaSalle College International handling Fashion Illustration, Figure Drawing, Visual Presentation, among others.

Kathleen “Kat” Compuesto

Extremely fashionable with an innate sense of retail trends and consumer needs, she has the outstanding ability to conceptualize a formidable and commercially viable collection with an exceptionally stylish sense of aesthetics. Though her education is far from her chosen career now being a graduate of BS Commerce in Assumption College, she decided to hone her skills in fashion by enrolling in Fashion Design and Pattern Making at LaSalle College International, and now, as an instructor in the same school, she continues to excel in her passion imbibing creativity in her students.

Dimple Lim

After taking up Interior Design at the College of the Holy Spirit, she decided to further her skills in fashion by enrolling at LaSalle College International and Fashion Institute of the Philippines taking up Patternmaking in Fashion Design Program and Basic to Haute Couture Patternmaking respectively. She was also a Ben Farrales Foundation Scholarship Grantee thereby giving her the chance to work briefly with the renowned fashion icon. She has also received several citations and awards in the industry and has been featured in numerous write-ups in lifestyle magazines.

Mark Christopher M. Cham

Senior Graphic & Web Designer, he acquired his diploma in Multimedia Arts from a top university in Manila. He served as an Art Director of Virus Worldwide and Senior Graphic and Web Designer of Aleo Modeling Agency and Select Media/Concertus Inc. respectively.

 

FASHION DESIGN/FASHION MARKETING FACULTY

Zenaida I.  De Guzman

Ms. Zeny is a graduate of Master of Management degree from the Technological University of the Philippines; had some units in Master of Science in Chemistry from the University of the Philippines where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry degree.
 Ms. Zeny was formerly with the Philippine Textile Research Institute (PTRI) where she held such positions as:  Chief Science Research Specialist; Sr. Science Research Specialist; Science Research Specialist IV; Science Research Specialist II; Science Research Associate III, Science Research Specialist III; Science Research Associate II; and Research Assistant.
 While still with PTRI, Ms. Zeny has done consulting work in the area of textile for such international organizations as Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the United Nations Development Program.  She has also attended numerous international conferences abroad:  Thailand, South Korea, Nepal, United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Austria, Sri Lanka, and Japan.
 A recipient of 14 prestigious awards in science research, Ms. Zeny enjoys sharing with the public her invaluable knowledge by being a co-author of “Gampol:  A Compendium of Philippine Dye-Yiedling Plants”, a contributor of “Katutubong Kulay:  The Revival of Philippine Natural Dye” in one of the publications of the Coca Cola Foundation Philippines, Inc.).  She has also published ten technical papers in several publications.

Trina Marie F. Molina

Ms. Trina is a graduate of Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences at the Ateneo de Manila University. She later went to the United States of America to take on the challenges of fashion merchandising.  She worked there as Merchandising Assistant at A-1 Global in New York, New York and later as Merchandising Coordinator/Color Expert at Feline Lingerie in Los Angeles, California after finishing, Magna Cum Laude, the degree of Associate of Arts in Fashion Merchandising Management from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York.
 Presently the Proprietor of “Leaf and Company”, Ms. Trina finds time to share her knowledge with the students of LaSalle College International-Manila. She was formerly a Lecturer at the Ateneo de Manila’s Fashion Merchandising Management Department, a Marketing Consultant at Chocolate Clothing Company, and Merchandising Manager at Shoemart, Inc.

MITZI FAYE M. QUILENDRINO-BUSTOS

2003 Graduate of Fashion Design program at LCI-Manila. A graduate of BS Management at Ateneo De Manila University in 2008. Mitzi is a member of Young Designers’ Guild of the Philippines. Some of her achievements in the Fashion Industry are as follows: “Designer for Retail” Nominee/  MEGA Fashion Style Awards – Jan. 2008;Chosen to participate in three (3) Samsung - Metrowear Shows;Metrowear-YDG Show 2008 ;Metrowear Retail 2007– for MAUD label;Metrowear Summer 2007;Regularly featured in premiere fashion glossies and dailies and figured in several magazine covers; “Fashion High:  Emergent talents such as Mitzi Quilendrino…who energized fashion design; The Best and the Worst of Lifestyle 2005.  Editor Chelo Banal-Formoso; Philippine Fashion Week Collections (2006 and 2005) cited as one of the “Ten Standout Collections” by both MEGA and Preview;Commissioned for various high-caliber fashion shows such as Alliance Francaise de Manille’s Traits Tres Mode,  The Marie Claire Launch Party, People Asia’s Tea Party of Style and Substance and the British Women’s Association’s The Clothes Show, among others;One of MEGA’s “10 WOMEN-TO-WATCH” (Jan 2006 issue);One of Preview’s “ TOP 10 DESIGNERS-TO-WATCH” (Jan.2005 issue);One of 5 Filipinos featured in Swarovski’s DIY Look Book released worldwide 2004;Finalist for the Philippine Fashion Design Competition 2002

 

FASHION MARKETING FACULTY

Ricardo G. Cruz Jr.

Mr. Ricky is a candidate for Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree at the De La Salle University Graduate School of Business.  He obtained his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, earning such honor as Silver Medal, from the Ateneo de Manila University.
 Mr. Ricky is presently an Academic Chairperson at the Assumption College, Makati, and a Lecturer at the LaSalle College International – Manila. He was formerly a faculty member at Southville Foreign Colleges in Parañaque, American City University Graduate School of Business, also in Parañaque, St Paul University of Manila, Polytechnic University of the Philippines in Taguig, and Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Pasig.
 Before moving to the academe, Mr. Ricky performed such functions as E-Banking Business Development Officer; before that, as Budget Officer at the Metropolitan Bank and Trust Company in Makati, Cost Accounting Section Head at Hunt-Universal Robina Corporation in Quezon City, and Cost Analyst at the Atlantic Gulf and Pacific Company in Makati.

Pedro A. Venida

Mr. Pete is a graduate of Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the De La Salle University Graduate School of Business.
 Aside from being the Program Coordinator of LaSalle College International, Mr. Pete also teaches fashion marketing courses.  He is also an Assistant Professorial Lecturer, part-time, at the Career Development Program of the College of St. Benilde and does consulting work for some companies.
 Mr. Pete’s managerial experiences are varied and extensive: Area Sales Manager, Product Manager, and Marketing Research Assistant at Pure Foods Corporation; Marketing Research Manager, Strategic Logistics Manager at Philippine Steel Coating Corporation (PHILSTEEL); Senior Vice-President, Vice-President of Marketing, Division Manager of Pambato Cargo Forwarder; Vice-President of Marketing of Haribon Express International.
 In the academe, Mr. Pete served as Academic Chairperson of St. Scholastica’s Marketing Management Department and as Lecturer at Miriam College, St. Paul College of Manila, Colegio de San Juan de Letran, and Colegio de San Lorenzo.

Cherilyn “Che” Bendicion

A graduate of AB Behavioral Science and BS Commerce in De la Salle University, Che took a completely opposite career in Fashion Marketing and excelled in it. The proud proprietor of NUI CLOTHING which received various citations from different sectors in the industry, she also worked as Merchandising Manager for Shoemart, Inc. and Design Garments focusing mainly on teen and ladies’ wear. Che teaches Fashion Marketing and shares her insights and experiences with the students of LaSalle College International.

 

INSTRUCTOR IN FASHION JEWELRY CTE COURSE:

 

JONATHAN DE DIOS – a jewelry manufacturer by profession, Jonathan has consistently harnessed his craft in gemology by involving himself in numerous tasks aimed at re-orienting the values of the new jewelers of the country. While teaching Jewelry Accessory and Design at LaSalle College International, he is currently developing an extensive curriculum in Jewelry Design in the Philippine setting.

INSTRUCTOR IN BASIC MAKE UP CTE COURSE:

 

TINA VIBAR – Tina is currently one of the most celebrated professional make-up artists in the industry, having been tapped by celebrities, lifestyle magazines, and TV networks to be their official makeup provider. She has mastered her craft at LaSalle College International and since then on has continued to add glamour to the faces of print and billboard ad models. If not at work in her corporate world as the Associate Vice President of Aegis People Support, Inc, Tina is found sharing her talents with her students at LCI-Manila.

INSTRUCTOR IN ARTISTIC MAKE UP CTE COURSE:

 

RB CHANCO-An accomplished MAC certified make up artist(2000-2006), NYC trained (November 2009), Freelance (1997-present), had been working in the industry for over 12 years, in every aspect from Weddings, Magazines, Runways & Advertising. Sharing his passion for the art of makeup is something RB has been doing since 2006. He started teaching at the prestigious LASALLE COLLEGE INTERNATIONAL- MANILA(2006-present) and has trained and internationally credited over 400 graduates since then under the LASALLE COLLEGE  curriculum. Following that, she studied in New York’s Temptu- where beauty meets science (November 2009), the leading airbrush company in the world. He already won several awards and very popular in magazine shoots.
